Frankenmuth Championship Wrestling (FCW) has a longstanding tradition of excellence in the Saginaw Valley area. Started
back in the 1920s as part of FDR's New Deal, it was thrown into the spotlight in the '40s when the Army recruited its wrestlers
as a special forces unit to fight in World War II. This unit later became the SEALS. The Federation faded into the background
in the 1950s and 1960s until 1969, when Woodstock occurred. Unknown to most today, Woodstock was actually an FCW show with
some music in the background. Thousands flocked to the multiple day pay-per-view event, cementing FCW's status as the
wrestling federation in America. FCW's wrestling dominance continued into the 70's and 80's, spawning such stars as Hulk Hogan
and Ric Flair, who eventually moved on to the WWE. Refusing to sell out to televised matches really hurt the company in the
1990s. Even without a TV deal, however, they still won the infamous "Monday Night Wars". They drew more viewers than both
WCW and the WWE, without a televison deal. Now, in the new millennium, the company is fresh with new talent and new management,
and is showing great promise.
Shows are whenever the hell we feel like it, and if you're lucky, we'll invite you. All shows will be taped and hopefully
put up on the internet somewhere. Our next pay-per-view, New Year's Evolution, will be held in our brand-new ring and wrestling
facility in downtown Frankenmuth whenever we get to putting the ring up. It'll be a show you definitely will NOT want to miss.
